Aims of the programme
The GD + MA programme in leadership is aimed at executives who seek to strengthen their self-, interpersonal-, and leader-competencies to optimal levels. The educational delivery-mode is harmonised with the professional agenda and personal life of the participant.
SIRIUS version
The SIRIUS version of the GD+MA is offered in a personal tutoring mode, articulated with blended learning, with online-based self-study modules, and with a two-week residential seminar-module (in July, with fellow-participants of the other programmes). The SIRIUS is of an asynchronous type; each participant starts the programme at a chosen moment during the year (contingent on place availability), and completes the curriculum at his/her own pace.
Personal tutorship
The personal tutoring can be described as being a blend of executive coaching and mentorship, in face to face (one-to-one) mode, within the framework of an agreed sessions' frequency. For practical reasons the SIRIUS programme is offered only to executives who reside in north-western Europe (Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands - approx. within a 2.5 hours travel distance from Brussels).
Executives who are based in other locations around the world can apply for admission into the HERCULES version of the GD+MA programme.
Curriculum
The SIRIUS includes practice-oriented courses in, for instance, human behaviour and leadership growth (self-awareness, personal development, self-leadership,...); in team dynamics, performance coaching, and project leadership; in ethics and social responsibility, in organizational leadership strategy; and in the initiation, management and mastery of change processes. English is the language used in all courses, and in the entire course-documentation. Duration and completion
The total duration of the SIRIUS programme depends on the participant's personal work/study agenda. In general 2.5 years are required to complete the programme. The programme is offered in two stages, first the Graduate Diploma (ten modules) and then the Masters (additional two modules). The graduate diploma is awarded by our institution; the masters degree by an educational institution affiliated with (as of 2010, further info to be released).
Application/admission
The number of places in the SIRIUS is highly limited. Admission and programme-start is possible all year round, but is contingent on: (1) availability of a place in the program; (2) meeting the admission-criteria of our graduate programmes; (3) the personal interview(s). The latter also serve the purpose of defining the scope, content, and study-pace in the personalised curriculum, and the practical arrangements for the tutorship. Depending on place availability the programme can be started at nearly any moment of the year, thus meeting one's professional agenda.
Tuition fees (as of 1 March 2010)
The total tuition fees for the SIRIUS version of the GD + MA amount to Euro 13.875. It is suggested that applicants seek a (partial) sponsorship by their (corporate) employer or other organisation.
