Update: the information found on this page relates to the SIRIUS master's in leadership programme framework and version offered in Brussels from 2003 to 2010. Since 2011 the programme is offered in a fully tailored form; the 'new' SIRIUS being its exclusive design concept. For details please click here
Aims of the programme
The programme is aimed at executives who seek to strengthen their self-, interpersonal-, and leader-competencies to optimal levels. The educational delivery-mode is harmonised with the professional agenda and personal life of the participant.
SIRIUS version
The SIRIUS version of the masters programme is offered in a personal tutorship mode, articulated with blended learning self-study modules, and with short residencies at the school's eco-campus in Belgium [1]. The SIRIUS is of an asynchronous type, or self-paced; each participant starts the programme at a chosen moment during the year (contingent on place availability), and completes the curriculum at his/her own pace.
Personalized tutoring
The
personal tutoring is a blend of executive coaching and mentorship,
taking place in face to face (one-to-one) mode. For practical reasons
the SIRIUS programme is offered only to executives who reside in
north-western Europe. This area encompasses Belgium, France, Germany,
Luxembourg, Netherlands. Participants from other countries are welcome,
if within a 2.5 hours distance by plane from Brussels, or Charleroi
(Brussels South Airport), or Cologne-Bonn Airport .
Executives who are based in other locations around the world can apply for admission into the HERCULES version of the masters curriculum. There is also a PhD program.
Curriculum
The SIRIUS includes practice-oriented courses in, for instance, human behaviour and leadership growth (self-awareness, personal development, self-leadership,...); in team dynamics, performance coaching, and project leadership; in ethics and social responsibility, in organizational leadership strategy; and in the initiation, management and mastery of change processes. English is the language used in all courses, and in the entire course-documentation. Duration and completion
The total duration of the SIRIUS programme depends on the participant's personal work/study agenda. In general 2.5 years are required to complete the programme. The programme is offered in two stages, first the Graduate Diploma (ten modules) and then the Masters one (additional two modules).
[1] The location is at 30 min. from the Liège Guillemins railway station (international Thalys high-speed trains). And at 90 min by train (or car) from the Brussels and national airport; from the Charleroi Brussels South airport; and from the Cologne and Bonn cities and airports (Germany), and from the institute office in Charleville-Mézières (France).
