Overview of the THIERRY leadership development programmes 

  

 

Approach and expectations

 

Our courses aim at meeting the needs of the individual. The THIERRY approach towards the best leader-learning and developmental mode, is the progressive plus one-by-one or person-centred approach.

 

The leader-role includes high responsibilities, especially in human terms. In each of the THIERRY programmes there is a comprehensive personal development component, in leader(ship) development, and combined with the base-curriculum, as well as the participant's professional occupation. 

 

We expect that the participants in our programmes be professionally active, in an environment where their enhanced leader-growth (leadership-in-action) will effectively be demonstrated. 

 

When seeking admission into our diploma and degree programmes there is one requirement that tops all of the other ones: the individual's strong want or intrinsic will, and personal meaning or calling, to become a better leader or leadership educator. The fostering of the school's esprit de corps, or "one-to-team-to-one" spirit, is also encouraged.  

Programme categories

 

As of 2012 the THIERRY programmes are divided into two categories:

 

1. The fully tailored "one leader at at time" programmes, created and delivered solely by THIERRY or DR Leadership.

2. The master's and doctoral curricula programmes, offered under the INSIL - THIERRY cooperation framework. 

 

The THIERRY diploma and degree programmes (in cooperation with INSIL)

 

The master's programme, composed of the graduate curriculum and diploma in Applied Leadership Studies plus Master of Arts in Leadership. This dual-path graduate programme meets the developmental needs of executives active at all hierarchical levels and types of organisations. The curriculum blends practice-oriented theory with the personal development of skills and competencies, and other applications of leadership in day-to-day work (in leading) more

 

The doctoral programme, composed of the postgraduate curriculum and diploma in Advanced Leadership Studies (PALS) plus PhD degree in Leadership and Mastery of Change. The twin or dual programme is intended for experienced and seasoned professionals active in the fields of, mainly, human development; leadership development and education programmes, and in the change processes for organisational growth or societal improvement    more

 

The specialisation in Environmental Leadership has bachelor, master, and doctoral level courses. Called TERRA, the programmes are aimed at persons who wish to focus on leadership for the environment (green leadership), for instance in view of climate change and environmental policy. The tailor-made THIERRY programmes (at the DR Leadership entity)

 

  The CHRONOS Chief Executive Leader Programme is only for top-level leaders, for instance in leader succession of large or family-owned organisations, or in head-of-state or similar positions in government or in public or supranational organisations. This unique CEO programme,  the only one of its type in the world, is designed and delivered exclusively by the Thierry Graduate School of Leadership.  more

 

The SIRIUS is a fully tailored and coached leadership development concept, unmatched in the world. The exclusive individualised programmes designed by means of it, offer for instance a rainbow of course delivery combinations, with face-to-face courses in short or medium duration residencies, personalised (e-)coaching, individual videoconferences, seminars, relocated or intra-organisational training, group courses, or summer classes.    more

The THIERRY-sourced leadership development programmes in business environments, offered in corporate university mode, and the Pegasus seminars and executive coaching programs offered by our partner institution based in France. more at INSIL.

 

The Centre for Leadership Education and Advancement Resources (CLEAR - CREAL)
